(1) How do I place an order?

When you find an item(s) you would like to purchase, select the color and quantity you want and go to the shopping cart. The shopping cart will ask you to enter a coupon code if available and then the site will direct you to sign in or create account. (You can also checkout with a guest account) Fill out the billing and shipping information and continue to checkout.

(2) How can I search for a product?

Our search bar will help you find products you want by using the product name, item number, pricing and selection of keywords that describe that item. Just enter the information you have into the search bar click Search. For example the Ball Point Pen can be located by entering the name “Ball Point Pen" item number "87656" or by searching by associated words such as "pen" or "key tags"

(3) Can I get help finding a product?

Yes. Call Customer Care: 877-706-1866 and we can help you find the product you are looking for. Chances are we have exactly what you need!

(4) Do you sell to Companies only?

We sell to everyone, Companies, Personal, Schools, Hospitals, etc) you can have any imprint information printed on your promotional products.

(5) What happens to my personal information after I place an order?

We will keep your name, email address, street address and telephone number so we can contact you and ship your purchase to you. We do not keep your credit card information once your transaction has been completed.

You may reach one of our service reps Toll-Free 877-706-1866 Monday through Friday between 9AM and 5PM Eastern Time. After hours leave us a message or email us at Customercare@NeedPens.com  and we will get back to you as quickly as possible! We are closed on weekends and all major holidays.

(7) What is your production time for your products?

Production time varies for each product. The average production time is 5-14 working days after you approve your order. This timeline is also dependant upon the size of the order and the complexity of the artwork. If you have a specific date, please ensure that there is enough time before you opt for a normal production timeline. Please remember that delivery time is the total of both proofing time, production time and shipping time. Expedited shipping however for some products may be much longer or shorter. The normal production time is listed for each product on the product page. We must have your proof approval prior to proceeding with your order.

(8) What is your policy on broken items?

You have 5 days from the time you receive your item to contact us about your broken item. If possible please save the box or boxes the items arrived in as we may need to file a UPS claim. For more info, see our Shipping & Return

(9) Can I get a proof?

Yes! We will email you a proof for your approval before printing the item(s). If you would like us to change your proof just email back to with a note and we will change the proof and send it back for you preapproval. Note. Additional time maybe required to complete your order when a second proof is required. Order must be paid infull before we begin on the proof.

(10) What if something is spelled wrong on my order?

If there is any problems with your order, email at Customercare@NeedPens.com and remember to include your order number, or call Customer Care at 877-706-1866. If there something printed that’s not on the order or proof, we will reprint the order at no charge.

(11) What is your return policy?

You must notify us within 7 days of receipt of your order. We cannot accept returns once you have approved your customized order unless what we produce is not what you approved. Do not ship products back to us without an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) Returns are processed once a week by the warehouse so please allow 7 to 10 days after the return is received for it to be processed. Once we process your return, we will issue a refund and notify you via email. For more info, see our Shipping & Return

(12) How does your price guarantee work?

If you find a lower total price (art, imprinting, product, etc.) for any product we offer, let us know within 30 days of your purchase and we’ll meet or beat the price and give you 15% off your next order.

(14) How long does shipping take to my location?

UPS ground service can take 1 – 4 days depending on your location. UPS 3 Day, guarantee in 3 days, UPS 2nd Day Air, guarantee in 2 days, and UPS next Day Air, guarantee the next day.

(15) Do you ship out of the United States? 

Sorry, we do not ship any items out side the United States.

(16) What about tracking my order?

As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive an email from NeedPens.com with a UPS or FedEx tracking number.     You can then go to the UPS website: ups.com or website: FedEx.com and track your package(s). If your order was shipped using alternative methods, please contact us at 1-866-706-1866 or at Customercare@NeedPens.com and will answer any questions you might have.

(17) Do you charge sales tax?

There is no sales tax collected on any order shipped outside of Ohio. NeedPens.com will collect the appropriate sales tax for orders shipped within Ohio. (Ohio sale tax rate is between 6.750% to 7.0%) This will be added to your final total when placing your order. Tax Exempt Organizations should fax resale certificates to Customercare fax: 1-877-964-1483 or email it to Customercare@NeedPens.com before placing your order.

(18) Do you offer Rush Service?

(19) Can I back order items that are not available at this time?

At this time we are unable to accept orders for items that are unavailable. If the item comes back in stock it will be put back on the site.

(20) Is there a minimum order quantity on your products?

Yes. The minimum order is listed for each product under the "Qty" box. Occasionally we can do 1/2 the normal minimum with a less than minimum fee. Contact Customer Care at 877-706-1866 for availability of this less than minimum option.

(21) What is a set-up charge?

A set-up charge is the fee the NeedPens.com charges to prepare the printing screen(s) necessary to produce your order and to install the screen on the press. Each color ink requires a separate printing screen and there may be a separate set-up charge. Printing on more than one location may requires running the product through the press separately and there could be an additional run charge. There may be a separate set-up charge if the art or message is different. We do our best to match the colors, but cannot guarantee an exact match. We do not believe in charging our clients any setup fees! Any Questions Contact: Customer Care at 877-706-1866.

(22) What formats for camera ready art do you accept?

The best formats would be Adobe Illustrator AI, Adobe Photoshop PDF, .EPS, or TIF. Files that are scanned should be scanned at least 600 dpi as black/white line art. If you don't have artwork in these formats, please email us what you have and will do their best to work with your available file(s). For more info see Artwork Guidelines

(23) How do I send my artwork?

You can reply to the confirmation e-mail you receive after you've placed your order and attach your artwork file. You can e-mail your artwork to Artwork@NeedPens.com. If you prefer you can also fax your artwork to us at: 877-964-1483. A customer care representative will review your order and contact you to work out all the details prior to production! Customers will assume complete responsibility to get permission for reproduction of trademarks, copyrights and logos. (24) What if I don’t have any art for my order?

NeedPens.com can help you create custom art that will look great imprinted on your order. You might supply a sketch or simply provide concepts of interest. Contact us Artwork@NeedPens.com or call Customer Care at (877) 706-1866.

(25) What are your payment options?

We require prepayment on all orders, unless approved for charge account by NeedPens.com. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal. We also accept debit cards as form of payment.

(26) Can I have the pens imprinted with two or more colors?

Standard orders are printed with one color. If you need a second color there is a $0.20 charge per pen.  Second color will be printed on second location. Set-up charge may apply. Please contact Customer Care at (877) 706-1866 or email: Artwork@NeedPens.com for details on placing this custom order.

(27) How much information can I have printed on the pens?

Most of our plastic pens can have 3-4 lines with up to 30 characters per line. Each pen will disclose the maximum number of lines it can have. We imprint our laser engraved metal pens with up to only 2 lines.

(28) What kind of font and colors are used for imprinting? 

Click here to see the font and colors we have available for imprinting your writing instruments. When customizing your item, you can request a different font by entering the font style you want in the (Special Order Instructions field) By your request only, we can customize your text imprint (Larger, Italic, Bold, etc.); otherwise the imprint will be printed in the standard font and size.

(29) What is Over/Under Runs?

We try to produce your order in the quantity specified, but we reserve the right to ship and bill up to 5% over or under the desired quantity.

(30) I would like to see a sample of your pens before I place an order. Can I do this?

Yes! We are happy to provide two free samples up to $10.00 and ship them free of charge via ups ground. For an actual pre-production pen sample the fee is $20. Free samples will either be blank or have a random imprint, availability permitting. If a sample is over $10.00 or you need more than two samples, a credit card is required. If you place an order for the products, we will credit your account back in full for the samples.

(You do not have to return the samples) Please do not request samples if you are not intending on making a purchase. To request samples, fill out the Request Form or Email us at Customercare@NeedPens.com and please include the product name and part number in your e-mail. Please note that samples may take 7 to 10 business days or more to arrive.           We reserve the right to decline questionable/non-business sample requests.
